The aim of my lesson is to test students' knowledge about indefinite pronouns ..
To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a coversation to improve students' pronounciation by leading them to do some free activities...
Procedure (43-60 minutes)
show sts a short video a bout parties .. ask them to work together discussing and answering the questions ..
Make three sentences with somebody, everybody and nobody about my family in the context of parties. Somebody in my family is a actor ..Everybody in my family likes to drink orange juice.. Nobody has a weird haircut in my family.lately ..i've found that.Someone drank all the soda. -Ask the WC to think about the people in their families and tell them to make sentences by using the TL. -They should then speak to their partners about it for two minutes. -Monitor sts closely without taking any part in the conversations and note their mistakes to review it later. -Ask some students randomly to give feedback about their partners..
ask sts to do the matchig task ..work o pairs and check together
ask sts to do the SB TASK 'COMPLETE THE TABLE' .work together then feedback.
ask sts to read the conversation and decide which pronuns fit best and underline them ..play the recording for them to check their answers ..then ask the sts to act out the conversation 'now stand up ..and read the first line ..".no act like you're actulaly dylan's mother .like this .. and so "...
ask STS TO FIND OUT IF THEY NOW ANYBODY LIKE Dylan and if their mothers were like this when they were teenagers..ask them if they notice aything unusual about the sentences at exercise 1..the sentence are song lyrics and use the short forms gonna 'ging to' wanna 'want to .."gotta " got to ..and' aint " isn't ..though here used instead of I'M NOT ...PLAY RECORDING ..and ask the students to listen and repeat ..point out that song lyrics often use non -standard English ask the sts to rewrite the lyrics using full forms and standard English grammer ..when checking answers point out that in f..it's not good English to use never with a negative verb as the word never is ..itself ..a negative form ..
