Description

In this lesson,students learn about vacation words through guided discovery based on some activities. The lesson starts with a discussion about trip or travel.This followed by some speaking activities where students talk about their dream trip.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Show four pictures of different destinations.then Ask you have three days off where would you go ??? and Why. students talk about destinations

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

students complete the vacation verb challenge. individually do the task.then answer fill the blanks.

Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Students complete a task to become familiar with vacation-related vocabulary. then, they answer two questions and discuss about their answers with their partner. what do you like doing on vacation ? did you have similar or different ideas??

Planning (8-9 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' reports

Students work in pairs to plan five-day dream trip to one city in Iran. They discuss the destinations,transportation,places to visit and activities

Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

Students find a new partner and share their travel plans. they should give a report to the whole class.
