in this stage i ask student to take a look at part b in page 72 and read the text quickly then check their predictions about the text. i want them to re-read the text carefully in pair and try to complete each phobia with the correct heading from the list then we are going to check their answers paragraph by paragraph while we talk about phobias that mentioned in the text.(after read each paragraph im going to check their understanding about the text with or without some CCQs and etc.)
in this stage students are going to talk more about phobias in part c. first i want them to take a quick look and highlight the words that they don't know and then while they re-read the text i teach them new vocabulary paragraph by paragraph( im going to do it with some CCQs like i ask them to guess the meaning and guide them to fide the answers).
the students will be asked to discuss exercise d in pairs then share them with whole group and while doing this i try to monitor them and help them to find correct answer. then students going to talk about the topic in practice e and share their own experiences or those of someone they know. i monitor them and give them feedback when necessary.
