Procedure (41 minutes)
The students will be asked: " What is your favourite style? Which style is casual/elegant?. I will elicit adjectives from students to describe the outfits .
Students will be shown 4 pictures with different outfits and asked to listen to an audio clip. They will be asked their opinion of the outfits. They will compare answers in breakout rooms. Then OCFB.
The MFP of the superlatives and comparatives will be taught to the students. This will include Short, long, and irregular comparative and superlative adjectives.
The students will be given a quiz (fill in the blank) where they will use the TL. The questions are: The glasses make her look much (more) serious. The hair makes her look (younger), doesn't it. I think she looks (prettier) in picture A, to be honest. That tracksuit isn't (the most elegant) outfit in the world. I'd say she looks (better) in picture A, definitely. The dress makes her look (taller) than the other pictures. This is definitely (the most sophisticated) of the four pictures. I think this is the (best) picture, I really do. Then we will conduct OCFB
Students will be given the same audio clip as before. They will be asked: listen to Suzanne Weston, the fashion expert, do you agree or disagree with her ideas? Then the students will discuss their opinion Then, in breakout rooms, they will discuss these questions: Which outfit is...the most elegant? The most casual? More comfortable, A or B? More serious, C or D?
