Procedure (33-43 minutes)
How do you usually learn or practise English outside the classroom? Do you ever listen to English songs? Some facts about me. Read and tell me if they are TRUE or not. You have 2 minutes.
Look at the lyrics. Underline three words related to music. Then find two verbs and one expression. You have three minutes. How many music-related words? How much time?
Read the title and guess what the text is about. Now skim the text and check if you were right. Read the six questions carefully. Then read the text again and choose A, B, or C, Why did you use ...? Where in the text did you find it? Scan the text for phrasal verbs. Word Families translate translator translation
If I tell you you, are fluent, does it mean that you don't make mistakes? If I tell you, you are accurate? Does it mean that you speak without long pauses? If I speak quickly, is that my rhythm or my pace? You can't understand a thing. Is it gibberish or slang? Mate?
