i will show students three pictures of some famous singers, picking one Iranian singer. and i talk to them about what they sing, looking to see if they know genre

For task 1 of pre listening: first I split the 6 students into groups of 2. then i ask this question, if they were trapped in an island for the rest of there lives and they could choose only one genre to listen to, what would that genre be?(3 to 5 minutes) for task 2: I play the opening of six songs for them. and ask them to guess what genre of music the song is.(4 to 7 minutes)

the while listening has 2 tasks, one is Gist, and one a more detailed specific. before each task, the pair of students listen to a 6 minute song, and then they answer the questions on the hand out given to them. after each task, i check the answers.

In post listening, present the students with three questions about the song they heard, and i ask them to think and reflect on this questions for 2 minutes. after that, i ask them to share there opinion with the class, and then ask the other students whether they a agree or disagree, asking why do you agree/disagree from one student.
