Main Aims

  • Grammar To provide clarification andpractice of adverb of frequency in the context of habits and by the end of the lesson student are be able to use adverb frequency

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation between the group works


Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

show the Ss pictures about a bird an an Owl So i try to ask them about the meaning of " early bird and night owl" by discussing to reach the meaning i give them the exercise " early bird and night Owl" i divide them into small groups i asks them to check their answer with group member (his partner) then i discussed their answers

Exposure (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I ask student to work individually to find out more adverb of frequency in the sentences in the listening in the previous section So when they found them they should out them in a correct place in the table according to how frequently the event they describe occurs then student checking his answer with his partner and i will try to monitor their discussion finally i check the answer with " W.C "

Highlighting (3-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i'll write model sentences on the board and ask questions about it

Clarification (3-5 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Ex 2 I'll ask students which adverb go in which position they can answer alone then checking with partner finally i'll check the answer with W.C

Controlled Practice (5-6 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

bu using Ex prepared by teacer - we have EX talking about different habits around the world while they look at picture and read the sentences the could fill the gabs with a suitable adverb of frequency in this EX they work into pairs so student can check answer with his partner finally i check the EX with whole class

Semi-Controlled Practice (3-4 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Ex3 in this part i divide them into two groups but i ask them to work individually to guess which adverb would make the sentence true for their partner so i asks them to check their answer by asking his partner

Free Practice (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I divide the student according to the color of their shoes then i have some question written in a cheat of papers so very one can get randomly take one paper and try to ask the student so the winner is the person who can answer large number of question
