Main Aims

Procedure

Past Perfect Story (33-35 minutes) • Let the students wake up and start the day with more energy and enthusiasm.

Past perfect game. Write on the post-its activities/sentences. Take 6 post-its each person and put them in the same chronological order as you chose them. Create a story in past (simple and perfect). Tell the two stories in front of the class.

Presentation (33-35 minutes) • To introduce reported commands, requests, and advice.

Present examples of direct commands. Convert them into reported speech. Repeat with requests and advice. Highlight infinitive structures. Compare patterns.

Controlled Practice (15-18 minutes) • To practice accurate reporting of commands and requests.

Provide transformation exercises. Students work individually. Review answers together.

Mixed Practice (15-18 minutes) • To consolidate all reported speech forms.

Distribute mixed examples. Students classify sentence types. Students convert them into reported speech. Compare answers.

Review Game (12-14 minutes) • To reinforce previously learned reported speech structures.

Divide students into teams. Present mixed examples. Teams identify the type of sentence. Award points for correct answers.
