Description

In this lesson the learners will read so many question related to the subject of the lesson, which is chocolate and food in general. they also will be asked to answer all the questions by their own, or work in pairs. they have to express themselves by speaking aloud about their preferences and the reasons behind their choices. then there will be a listening practice in which they will check their answers. And last there will be an exercise about the countable and uncountabl regarding different kind of food.

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed reading practice using a text about food in the of context food.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of food.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

having a free discussion about their favorite dish and why is it so. and if they could tell us what the ingredients are.

Reading (10-12 minutes) • encourage the learners to practice the TL.

Students will work in pairs, asking each other 8 questions and write down the answers, then they will come out to the WB, where they will find the same questions. then they will write the name of their partner with red if the answer is yes and any other color if the answer is no. then we will see who is the chocoholic.

Reading and answering questions. (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the listening.

The students got 10 questions, they going to work in pairs, discussing and answering the questions, then its going to be an open group discussion. to see the reasons why they thought the answer should be true or false.

listening exercise. (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Sts will listen to a CD talking about some facts regarding chocolate. they have to listen carefully, then check their answers.

Exercise. (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The Sts got a box full of words, some of them are countable some aren't, and they got an example in a specific statement about chocolate, they need to replace the words in the box with the word chocolate. at the same time they need to pay attention if the word is uncountable they need to use is, if it countble they need to use are.
