Description

In this lesson students will be able to diffrenciate between subjective pronouns and possessive determiners. They will also use possessive adjectives to talk about their favourite things by pair work and discussions.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of Possesive Determiners Vs. Subjective Pronouns in the context of People, Our Favourite Things

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice and clarification of Pronouncing numbers from 11 to 100 showing the word stress. and distenguish between numbers ending by "teen" and those ending bu "ty". in the context of People
  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation about our favourite things. in the context of People,

Procedure

Lead_in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

To show Ss some pictures and real objects of my favourite things. Asking them about their favourite tnings too. Choose 2 of the confident Ss to ask and answer about their their favourite things.

Exposure (11-15 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

To focus Ss attention on: # the speech bubbles then read out the question then answer.Ask the students to work in pairs talking about their favourite things. monitor them then give FB. #the tables which show subjective pronouns and possesive determiners. #To let Ss read the numbers and know the stressed syllables.

Useful Language (2-5 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Asking about favourite things using "what" with things and "who" with persons. distinguishing between the determiner "his" and "her", so that Ss can use them easily and correctly. The number "one hundred" can be also "a hundred".

Productive Task(s) (3-6 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Ss will make conversations about their favourite things. Ss will write down some numbers then work in pairs to discuss the results of some statistics.

Feedback and Error Correction (1-2 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

while monitoring Ss, I'll notice the common mistakes then give them FB fixing these mistakes.

Extra games (2-5 minutes) • To make sure that Ss get the information and can practice what they've learned in the class.
