To provide scan and detailed reading practice using a text about keeping in touch.
To give the Ss freer speaking practice through a discussion
Ask the students to write down five of their friends names. Ask them when the last time they were in touch was. The students make Brainstorming about how they are communicated with each other.
The Ss discuss the ways they can keep in touch with each other. Make them divided into two teams. Monitor them to check answers.
The Ss read the passage silently. In teams , they discuss the statements (a-j) and decide which alternative is most likely to be true.
Now,the Ss listen to a track and check their answers.
The Ss listen to a track about fractions. Using the white board, they will define the fractions through some draws. The Ss repeat the fractions and match them to the correct percentages.
