Procedure (30 minutes)
Ask the Ss how they contact with their friends. Focus the Ss attention on the pictures. Ask them to say some information about them, Divide Ss into pairs. Explain the activity and rules.
Focus the Ss attention on the words in the box by giving them cards of the words and making sure everyone understands them. Ask them to try to fill the gaps then work in pairs to compare their answers without confirming or denying anything. Get FB information from Ss.
Ask Ss to work together in pairs to fill the gaps. check answers with the whole class. Get FB from the students. Explain any new vocabulary.
Drill the new vocab and focus on pronunciation and stress.
Ask the Ss work in pairs to check their answers. Get some FB from the students. Explain new vocab related to cultural notes.
Put the students into teams, make each team write 5 sentences about how they contact with their friends. Each team present their sentences. IF there is time, make a free discussion asking them whether they have pen-friends and if they ever met them.
