Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Material Ex 1 p 34 The people in the picture work for a fashion magazine called "Glitz" How do you think they spend a normal working day? Their name and job title are near them. Who chooses articles for the magazine? Who makes the coffee? Who takes a lot of photographs? Talk in pairs for 2 1/2 minutes and share answers after. Use BORs for 4 or more students

Text work (8-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Material Ex2 p34 gist How is Imogen spending her day off? A: Doing nothing intensive Students will use google forms to answer the following questions if it is routine/usually or Now/today. First they will work independently (2 min) Compare answers 3 minutes and then OCFB Questions: 1. Imogen and Alex usually go away at the weekend. (Routine/usually) 2.
