Description

In this lesson students will be encouraged to talk about their relationships. the lesson will start with speaking, followed by a listening and reading, where they will tell their opinions about the twenty_first century dating means .

Main Aims

  • To provide scan reading practice using a text about Twenty-first century dating in the context of relationships

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide specific vocabulary to understand a listening text about relationships

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will get the students engaged in a disscussion to say their opinions about relationships in general , meanwhile i will be asking different questions in the same context.

Pre-Reading/Listening (3-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will try to give students clear insturctions before handing the hand-out and ask them to take a look at the pictures and ask them to tell me what does it discribe by using some lead-in questions .

While-Reading/Listening #1 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will give students enough time to scan the text, I will ask them to check out the title .then the following steps will be going throught the vocabulary on the text that could be almost difficult for some and after that answering the questions next to some CCQ's.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-14 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will give instruction to students about the next exercise to answer the questions , in order to check if they have learned anything from the lesson, after that I will play the recording and we will try to answer the listening questions together .

group_work (5-7 minutes) • to create some communiation between the students in order to exchange opinions

ask the students to work in groups and discuss what are the secrets of a successful relationship .
