Students will have time to practice speaking with partners about weather related questions. Speak with a partner and describe today’s weather. Do you think it’s typical for the time of year? What’s your favorite weather? Why? Which country do you think has the perfect weather? Why? Each question should be discussed for 4-5 minutes. Teacher will monitor the conversations for DEC.
Teacher will look for areas of success and improvement on students productive speaking skills. Areas to consider: Proper use of words to describe weather, pronunciation, tenses, repeated mistakes, natural expressions. Write instances of correct and incorrect usage and let students identify which are correct and incorrect. See if they can improve the incorrect usages. 4-5 examples.
