Procedure (38-47 minutes)
Students answer questions orally in pairs about a film or book they like Demo What’s your favorite film/book? A/ Avatar What type of film/book is it? A/ Fiction Why do you like it? Gist Students read text in two minutes and answer select an answer for the question What's the critic's opinion about the movie? A/He enjoyed the movie. Students look at shared screen. A student is nominated to mention which of the samples is about a book and a film. Students work in pairs by matching pieces of lexis to their respective sections in each sample for 4 minutes. Meaning Students answer to CCQ for each piece of lexis Which expression is used to describe a writer's name? A/ was written by Which expression is used to describe a director's name? A/ was directed by Is the information after that part of the same sentence? A/Yes Is the verb after that connected to the information expressed before that? They work in pairs for 2 minutes to complete google forms about capitalization and submit answers. Answers are checked Students analyze other forms and answer to some other FCQ What’s the ending of the verb in the affirmative sentence? A/-ed Where is the verb like in base form? Students are assigned a partner, they read each other's reviews and mark the respective column of the checklist based on said text. They have 3 minutes -included writer/director's name with capital letters -clarified if the review is about a movie or book -included film/books name with capital letters -included film/book recap -included reasons why she/he liked or disliked the film/book Students give feedback to each other for 4 minutes in BOR.
