Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T shows the students a driving license and a visa card then ask them "What they are?" The T asks: "Do you carry this with you?" "How many things do you carry with you that have personal information on them?" "Do you ever use your credit card on the internet? If s,what for?" "Do you know anyone whose credit card has been stolen if so, what happened?" Then, The T asks "What do you know about identity theft?" (PW)

Pre-teaching vocabulary (5-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The T will pre-teach vocab by giving a handout to SS (ho-1) and then, the T asks the SS to work in group then pair checking then the T gives answer key.

While-Reading #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

The T gives SS a handout (HO-2) and asks the SS to read the text alone for 2 minutes and then, the T asks "What is this text about?" and then, the T asks "What do you know about identity theft?"

While-Reading #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading tasks

The T gives the SS handout (HO-3) and asks them to work in groups to do this activity. Then, the T asks the SS to pair check their answers. Then, the T do the activity B in the same handout (HO-3) after that, the SS will pair check again their answers and then, the T gives Feedback through asking each group about their answers.

While-Reading #3 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging preposition task

The T gives another handout (HO-4) he asks the SS to work in group (regrouping the SS) and then, after finishing this activity the T asks the SS to pair check their answers.

Post-Reading (5-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The T divide the class into 2 groups then, the T asks the 2 groups and the T tells them that they have 5 minute to brainstorm as many facts as possible about the text. The group that can recall the most is the winner.
