Project students the email I sent to my best friend. Give students a link to answer the following questions. Send ss to BOR. Subject: Wedding party — you have to be there (and on time!) Hi Jacobo, I’m celebrating my wedding party on November 11th, 2023, at 8 p.m. at Cadillac Events Room in Tonalá, Jalisco. Since you’ve been my best friend for over 11 years — more like family — and my best man, it wouldn’t feel right without you there. It’s formal, dinner and open bar included. Please confirm by email. And yes… don’t be late this time! Alejandro 1.What type of message it is? A whatsapp message/ an email/ a letter. 2. What is the purpose of the message? 3.What is the tone of the message? Clarification (5-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Students work individually. They use google slides to put the invitation in order. Put the invitation in order: a. Don’t be late! b. Hi Carlos, c. Dinner included and formal dress code. d. Please confirm by email. e. I’m celebrating my graduation party next Friday. f. It wouldn’t be the same without you. Send students a link and then to BROs They may decide if each sentence is: Persuasive / Neutral / Informational - I’m celebrating my wedding party on November 11th. Infromational -Please confirm by email. Neutral -It wouldn’t feel right without you there. Persuasive -Dinner and open bar are included. Persuasive -The dress code is formal. Informational -You’ve been my best friend for over 11 years. Persuasive
