Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To introduce the lesson

The T will enter the class and start the lesson by saying: "Good evening everyone" and then the T shows some photos to the SS (House objects photos) and the T will try to elicit the vocabulary from SS.

Stage 1 (Vocabulary) (3-6 minutes) • To test the SS knowledge of vocab

The T will give the SS an activity to solve (HO-1) the aim of this activity to test the SS knowledge of vocabulary. If the SS knew all the vocabulary then the T will move on to the next stage, if not then the T will teach these vocab using photos and then the T will move to the next stage of the lesson. - CCQs: Are you going to work alone or in groups? How much time do you have? - Pair work & check - FB type: answer keys

Stage 2 (Vocabulary 2) (5-10 minutes) • To make the SS practice vocabulary

The T will give the SS an activity (HO-2) and the students have to work in groups in order for them to do this activity. Then the T will do WCFB by asking each groups about their answers. Time limit: 5 minute CCQs : Are you going to work in groups or alone? how much time do you have? Group checking FB: WC

Stage 3 (Reading) (2-6 minutes) • To develop the SS receptive skill (reading)

The T will give the SS a conversation to read (gist reading) and then the SS have to answer a specific questions like: Who is in the conversation? What are they doing? Time limit: 1 minute FB type: WC (By getting one student to say his answer and the other SS will hear his answer and check if they got the same answer.

Stage 4 (Reading 2) (10-15 minutes) • To develop the SS receptive skill (reading)

The T gives another conversation (HO-4) and tell the SS: "OK, You have 1 minute to read the conversation and I need you to tell me who is in the conversation and what they are doing" Time limit: 1 minute CCQs: How much time do you have? What are you looking for? FB type: WC (By asking one S about his answer and he will say his answer and the rest of the SS will hear the answers and check if they got the same answer) Then the T will asks the SS to read the conversation again but this time they will look at how many house objects are there in the conversation. Time limit: 1 minute CCQs: How much time do you have? What are you looking for? FB type: WC (By making S to write his answer on the board)

If Time (5-10 minutes) • To give the SS more vocabulary practice

The T will give the SS an activity (HO-5) the SS will work in groups to solve this activity. Time limit: 5 minute ICQs How much time do you have? Are you working alone or in groups? FB type: WC (By making some SS to write their answers on the board.
