Description

This session is dedicated to review the weekly test in a supportive, low-pressure environment. The focus is on clarifying doubts, reinforcing correct answers, and encouraging students to reflect on their progress and the reasons behind their answers, rather than on grades or mistakes.

Main Aims

  • To consolidate grammar and language points assessed in the weekly test through guided reflection and discussion.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To reinforce confidence and progress.
  • To check and correct their grammar mistakes.
  • To motive them to keep working hard.
  • To solve all their doubts related to the test or the previous week's topics.

Procedure

Settling & Framing the Session (3-5 minutes) • Reduce anxiety and set a positive, supportive tone.

Explain that this is a review, not a grading session. Emphasize learning from mistakes and positive attitudes.

Guided Test Review (38-40 minutes) • Clarify common errors and reinforce correct answers.

Review the questions from the test. Students read one by one the questions. Then, elicit answers from students before confirming. Highlight patterns of mistakes without naming individuals.

Student Questions & Clarification (8-10 minutes) • Encourage learner autonomy and self-reflection.

Invite students to ask questions about items they found difficult. Encourage peer explanations when possible.

Wrap-Up (3-5 minutes) • Reinforce confidence and motivation.

Highlight improvement and effort. End with positive feedback. Encourage them to do better next time.
