Pre teachthe words:a teenager, a musical note, worried, soul music , country side, a bestseller. SS have to the read the text quickly .(skimming) just to get a general idea and understanding. ask ss to turn over their texts. Then ss will look for answer in the class room or the teacher will show them on the board if there is a problem of class management due to the the number of ss or the position of the tables left from previous sessions.

controlled Speaking (14-16 minutes) • role play

Ask ss to work with their partners who will act as Joss or Christopher. The teacher has to model for them first then they do it themselves. If I have some time left: Ask if one of the ss has a talent (drawing, singing etc ) and give them a chance to perform in the class.

Follow up:productive skills (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The teacher may ask ss to write a letter or a short paragraph to one of the talented teenagers we have in the lesson.
