Procedure (28-42 minutes)
Introduce student to the topic by displaying images about blogging Provide a brief definition and ask student to identify parts of speech for the word "blog" Ask students two questions for engagement and participation: 1. Do you have a favorite blogger you follow? 2. If you were to blog, what would you blog about? Students will move into breakout rooms to discuss in pairs
Discuss different types of letters: Formal Letters (Professional/Official) Informal Letters (Personal/Social) Job Application/Cover Letter: Applying for work or internships. Friendly Letter: General news or checking in with family/friends. Letter of Complaint: Reporting a problem with a service or product. Thank You Note: Casual appreciation for a gift or favor. Inquiry Letter: Requesting specific information from an organization. Casual Invitation: Inviting a friend to a party or gathering. Letter to the Editor: Expressing an opinion on a public issue. Congratulatory Note: Acknowledging a friend's achievement. Resignation Letter: Formally notifying an employer you are leaving. Get Well Soon: Sending wishes to someone you know personally.
