Young Learners - TP4 - Daily Routines
To provide process and product writing practice of a small text in the context of daily routines
To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of daily routines
Procedure (17-40 minutes)
The warm up will begin with the T. putting up a banner that indicates different times of the day. The students will then give ideas on what to do during those times of the day such as "I eat breakfast in the morning".
The T will mime the actions such as "brushing teeth" and every time they get it right, the matching flashcard will go up on the WB.
The T will model a sentence regarding daily routines and the students will pair up to come up with 3 more sentences, then say them out loud.
They will be given little flashcards which they will have to first put in order then name the action and this will be done as a group work.
The teacher will read a small text regarding some daily routines and will ask the students to fill in the blanks while reading. Afterwards the students will come up with their own daily routines in the form of a small text.
