Procedure (45-65 minutes)
STUDENTS ARE ASKED SEVERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR SHOPPING HABITS. THEN THEY ARE ASKED TO IMAGINE THEY'RE IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY. THEY ARE ASKED WHAT WOULD THEY NEED TO BUY ON THEIR SECOND OR THIRD DAY OF BEING THERE.
STUDENTS FIRST GIVEN EXPLANATION ABOUT THE VIDEO AND PRESENTED WITH PREP EX. ONCE THEY ARE DONE WITH THE PREP EX. TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE CONTEXT AND THE VOCABULARY, THEY PROCEED TO WATCH THE VIDEO AND COMPLETE EX.1.
SS PROCEED WITH EX.2-3 TO FURTHER BE FAMILIARIZED WITH THE PHRASES THEY WILL USE IN THE PRODUCTIVE TASK THROUGH SEMI-CONTROLLED PRACTICE. THEY CHECK THEIR ANSWERS IN PW.
SS ARE PUT IN GROUPS OF 3-4 TO DISCUSS THE DISCUSSION EXERCISE AND TAKE NOTES ON THEIR FRIENDS' BEHALVES. THEY LATER SHARE WHAT THEY PHRASES THEY TOOK NOTES OF. ONCE FINISHED, SS ARE SEPARATED INTO PAIRS AND ASKED TO CHOOSE WHAT SHOP WOULD THEY WANT TO BE IN FOR THE ROLEPLAY. SS WHO DON'T CHOOSE MAY BE INSTRUCTED BY THE T. THEY PRACTICE IN PW FOR 5-8 MINUTES AND ROLEPLAY IN FRONT OF THE CLASS. DURING THE PRACTICE T IS EXPECTED TO BE OBSERVING AND INSTANT CORRECT THE GRAVE MISTAKES, GIVING ADVICES WHEN NECESSARY.
T TAKES NOTES WHILE ROLEPLAYING AND ONCE EVERY PAIR FINISHES THEIR WORK, DELAYED CORRECTION STAGE TAKES PLACE.
