Procedure (45-59 minutes)
At first stage,I will play bingo game with the students to revise instruments vocabulary.Then,I will ask students:Guys,did you go to a concert?What instruments did you see in the concerts?
Then,I will show the first picture and I will ask:now,look at the picture,what is he doing?what's his job?what's in his hand?what is he reading? .As a result,I will pre-teach the new words such as:baton,conductor,musician,notes.
Then, for exercise 1 page 88,I will say:now,guys,look at the pictures?number 1,who can you see?what are they doing?what can you see?and I will elicit answers.Then,picture 2,again ,I will ask the same questions and two more questions such as:what is the seating boy doing?how does he feel?why he feels sad?and again for I will ask these questions for all the pictures in order to elicit answers .
Then, for exercise 2 page 88,I will ask students to read and answer the question.Then,I will ask students what's the question? and students will answer it.Then,I will play the recording and I will ask :now,guys,who plays the most important note ?and I will elicit answers.
Then,for exercise 3 page 89,I will pre-teach the word last by drawing some shapes on the board.Then,I will ask students to complete the sentences but I will do the first one with the whole class.I will ask one student to read the first one and the class will answer.Then,students will have time to do it on their own and check in pairs and I will ask from the whole class.
At this stage, for exercise 4 page 89I will say:Ok guys,There is a shorter form of the story here but there are some differences,listen and correct.Then,I will do the first one with the class .Then,I play the recording and I will stop for each sentences .Then,students will have time to check it with their friend and I will ask from the whole class.
At this stage,for exercise 5 page 89,I will pre-teach the word diary by showing my notebook and saying:Ok,guys,this is my diary,I write my days in it and I will pre-teach the word different as well.Then,I will ask:guys,who is Tristan?do you remember him?Look at him on the page 88 and look at him on the page 89.Then,I will ask one student to read the exercise 5 page 89 for the class.Then,I will ask them to complete the diary.Then,students have time to do it on their own and check it with their friend.Finally,I will ask the answers from the whole class.At the end,I will play memory game with them to revise the new words.
