YLE - TP3
A2 level

Description

In this lesson, students will focus on their reading and writing skills. The lesson will begin with the teacher playing a party song while the kids are arriving and an announcement will be made regarding the invitation to baby Robbies baby shower/birthday. The invitation will also be displayed on the WB. Then the sts will be asked to find their envelopes that have their surnames on that are on the the table. Inside the envelopes the sts will find the invitation and will be asked to study the letter while the teacher writes related answers on the WB. Then sts will work in pairs to find and write the question regarding each answer and then read it out loud. The teacher will then erase the board and hand out the actual questions that are represented in exercise b from their students book and the sts will check their questions and fill in the gaps. After that the sts will be asked to stand up and walk around the classroom to look at some other examples of parties (i.e: costume, movie, etc..) and will be asked to tell what other parties there can be. They will then look under their table to find a color coded envelope hidden and inside there will be clues to design their own party invitations. In groups they will write an invitation and pass it to the next group. Finally the next group will open the envelope and match it with the color related poster where they will find their next envelope where there will be related content to the first envelope they have and will answer the questions and try to solve the puzzle.
