Procedure (46-60 minutes)
The teacher shows the game materials and asks if anyone knows the game. Briefly explain that the goal is to think fast, not be perfect. Emphasize that mistakes are OK and part of the game.
The teacher explains the rules step by step: A student picks a card with a topic. The timer starts (5 seconds). The student says words related to the topic. If they can't answer in time, they lose the round. Explain how the turn passes to the next player. Check understanding with one or two quick CCQs. At this stage of the English course, give them extra 5 seconds to think about their answers (making an extra rotation of the torch).
Play one slow practice round with the whole class. Pause if needed to clarify rules or language. Encourage students and praise effort.
Start the full game following the official rules. Students play in a circle or small groups, depending on space. The teacher monitors, keeps the pace, and encourages English-only use. No correction unless communication breaks down.
Stop the game before students are too tired. Ask quick reflection questions: Was it easy or difficult? Which topic was hard? Praise participation and remind students that speed improves with practice.
