Procedure (101-120 minutes)
Start the day with a quick and fun dynamic. Memory game! Review some verbs in past. Wheel of verbs.
Vocabulary: first, then, after that, finally, past event, dehydration, temperature reading, stool sample, X-ray image, ultrasound scan Teacher writes each word on the board. Teacher gives one clear example sentence per word (naturally using Past Simple). First, the vet checked the temperature reading. After that, they took a stool sample. Students repeat pronunciation. Each student produces one sentence per word.
Teach structure and function of past simple with irregular verbs, including how to form negative and question sentences with did/didn't. Mention common irregular verbs in past. Review the structures of past. Put more examples.
