Description

In this lesson,students learn about school subjects and students will be able to express their likes and dislikes.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

at first stage,I will ask students :what's this lesson?and I will ask:what other lessons they have today to elicit any school subjects they know in English.Then,I will use the picture in the student's book to present the new vocabulary.Then,I will play the recording and students will have time to repeat in class.Then,they will practice it in pairs and thenm,I will ask from them again.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Next,I will ask students,What is your favourite subjects and then,I will elicit answers.Then,I will tell them,to listen and I ask one student to repeat and do the rest of it,then they will practice it in pairs and finally I ask from them.Then,For exercise 3,I will point to the subjects on the board and ask from them,do you like math?then ,I will write their answers on the board.Then,students will do it in pairs and finally,I will ask from them in class.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

For exercise 1,think,students should look at the information in their student's books.Then,I will ask students to read Alf and julia in class.Then,I ask one student to read the first one and class should answer it.Then,They have time to do the rest of in pairs and I will monitor them and write their mistakes.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

For CD 1 15,I will ask students:Class read the exercise and tell me what to do,then,I will play the recording and I ask students to repeat in class.Then,they have time to practice it with their friend and Finally,I will ask one student in class.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

then,students should turn to the grammar focus section on page 119 of the book and I will ask one student to complete the first one and they have time to do the rest of it and check with their friend and then,I will check it in class.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

For exercise3,I will demonstrate the game.I will write a school subject on a piece of paper and draw a similing or sad face next to it and I keep it hidden.Then,student will ask questions from me and then,they will play the game in pairs.I will monitor them and write their mistakes in my notebooks.Then,for the CD16mI will ask one student to tell me what to do and another student answer one of then.Then,I will play the recording and they have time to check it in pairs and I will ask from them in class.Then,I will play the recording again,and I will pause it after each verse and students will repeat.When students have learnt the song,I will practice it with whole class.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Finally,for exercise 3 page 12,I will ask one student to answer the questions and then,They will have time to do the rest in pairs and I will ask from them.
