Procedure (102-120 minutes)
Teacher places 10 objects (ish) on a desk (markers, book, bottle, keys, papers, etc.). Students observe silently for 1 minute. Students turn around or close their eyes. Teacher removes 2-3 objects. Students turn back and guess what is missing. Repeat several rounds. Then, students work in pairs and take turns being the "changer" and the "guesser."
Vocabulary of the day: waiting area, personal decision, idea, option, future date, dosage, syringe size, supplies. Arthritis, lameness, hip dysplasia, conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, glaucoma. -Teacher writes each word on the board. -Teacher gives one clear example sentence per word. -Students repeat pronunciation. -Each student produces one sentence per word.
Teacher projects a chart with the possessive pronouns and adjectives, and a presentation of the correct use and the position in a sentence of each category and some examples. Remark the differences between them. Ask students for some examples of their own.
