Procedure (37-49 minutes)
Show some slides and ask students to predict what will happen next (a man who is going to fall or a family who are going to miss the airplane.) Talk about your plans for after the class (I'm going to go home , I'm going to play piano , I'm going to work on my paintings) then ask your students "what are you going to do after the class?"
Part(a):Point to the pictures in the listening part and ask some questions so that students predict and guess what are they going to listen to. Read the instructions of the activity and play the audio track and ask students to match the pictures then check with a partner after that ask them "What are the people talking about?"
Part(b) :Now ask students to fill the gaps from memory then play the audio track again and check the answers.
Meaning : Part(c)read the instructions of the activity and ask students to do the task in pairs then check it as a class so you make sure the meaning of the language is set. Form : Give students the guided discovery WS to do it individually then have a pair-check and then direct them to the Grammar Bank p.133 ,now explicitly let the form of the language be available for them. Pronunciation : Part(a)Tell students we're going to listen to some sentences and notice which words are stressed. Play the audio once and ask students are the pink words are stressed or not then let them do it individually and after that have a pair-check. Part(b)explain the instructions of the task and play the audio track and ask them to just write the stressed words. Part(c)Now ask them to write the unstressed words from memory then check it with the audio track as a class. Part(d)Play the audio track again next time and ask students to repeat the sentences and copy the rhythm.
Go to Grammar Bank p.133 Part(a) : Read the instructions and explain the task then read the model item and let students do the task individually, have a pair-check and then check as a class. Part(b) : Read the instructions and ask students to complete the gaps with a correct future form. Set a time and let them do the task themselves then check with a partner and after that check as a class.
Part(e) : Ask students to read the questions in the box then ask and answer with a partner. At last make an enjoyable environment to everyone talk about their situations
