Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask my students to think about the latest experiences they have had: 1. What did you do last year?

Exposure (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask my students to read the text and tell me what it is about (topic/who is talking/relationships)

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will ask students to underline all examples of the target language in the text.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

MEANING I will ask students some CCQ (concept checking questions) for students to id meaning 1. I have been to Canada twice. CCQ When are these actions referring to?
