Main Aims

To provide fluency and accuracy By the end of the lesson, students will be able to give a short spoken presentation about a show (film, TV programme or live show) they love or hate using target vocabulary and useful language for giving information and expressing opinions.
Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide fluency Students will review and use vocabulary related to forms of entertainment (e.g. films, plays, musicals, ballet, opera, concerts).
Procedure (42-60 minutes)
-Show them the picture and tell them what can you see ? - they will say i see a singer , movie ,tv show -what do you think our topic is about? -they will say movies. -teacher says: today we are going to talk about a show you love or hate. - Here we have question. discuss it together Do you watch TV shows or films at home? What kind of shows do you like? Do you prefer films or TV dramas? Why? -"In Exercise A1, the teacher says:'Here we have some photos. Match them with the types of entertainment from the box. the student will check it together then show them the answer. -In exercise B1, the teacher says; write which type of entertainment do you love or hate then arrange it from the most to the least. -they will check it together then teacher asks do you have the same opinion . -In exercise C1: teacher says: Talk with your friend about your favorite forms of entertainment. How often do you see the things you like? for example :I love musicals but i did not go because the ticket was very expensive - In exercise 2; teacher says : Here we have the entertainment and most important things for each one of them so i want you to discuss this question with your friend What are the three most important things for each form of entertainment ? for example :Acting, special effects and music are the most important things in a film.
- the teacher says :here we will listen to the audio .there are 4 people talking about something they have seen . you will answer the four questions for each one of them.
-Exercise 3b :Students listen again and make a circle on the phases from the useful language box
teacher says : now you will talk about a film or TV programme that you either loved or hated. Make notes using these questions 1 Is it a TV programme, a film or a live show? 2 Who was in it, wrote it, etc .? 3 What was your overall opinion of it? 4 What did you particularly like/dislike about it? 5 Who (if anyone) would you recommend it to? then divide them into groups and tell them to prepare what they are going to say. because one of them will present
Teacher will write correct and incorrect sentences. student will t which ones are right or wrong, and correct the wrong ones. the teacher will also correct any pronunciation mistakes.
