Main Aims

To provide skimming and detailed reading practice using a text about the top airports in the world and what makes them unique.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of talking about traveling.
Procedure (34-43 minutes)
In this stage students are asked "how do you feel about traveling ?" "are you a fan of traveling? or are you going to be traveling soon? are there anything memorable about your past experiences with traveling?" and "what form of traveling do you usually prefer?" (example: trains, planes, buses)
The students are going to be taught the words security(n), delayed(v) and facilities(n), alongside the phrases connecting your flights and boarding the plane. Then they will be asked to use the words in some examples.
The students are asked to read the introduction paragraphand, and answer the question "what does the writer think are excellent qualities that airports need to have?" they are asked to give some examples.
In this stage the students are going to read the sentences of part b and then match it to whichever of the airports mentioned within the article. They will be asked to check their answers in pairs.
Following the instructions of part d, the students are going to role-play a scenario in which their flight is delayed and what they want to do in the remaining time that they have.
