Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of Simple contentious tense in the context of Daily life

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Challenges, games

Procedure

Warm up (2 minutes) • To warm them up

Telling everyone to stand up and sing along, Teacher acting and speaking like the song

Lead in (5 minutes) • To make students interested in the lesson / exposure

Showing them what they are going to learn, using a time table Students understanding the usage

Grammar input (6 minutes) • For students to understand the grammar and learn it

•a one min song about the grammar • teacher saying conversations using two different voices, for the question and awnser form •Working on the structure and pronunciation of the grammar, back chaining •ccq questions

Controlled practice (2 minutes) • For the students to understand the grammar better

•Teacher using flashcards, asking students about the cards and students awnsering and then switching the roles, student's asking the teacher

Less controlled practice (4 minutes) • For kids to complete their knowledge about the grammar and the usage

•Kids come up and mime doing something and the kids guess what the student is miming, using the new grammer

Reflection (4 minutes) • (not doing in the demo)

Students do the activity in the book, and say what they have learned

Goodbye song (1 minutes) • (not in demo)

Goodbye song, everyone leaving
