Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T starts by showing SS the picture of the man in the bear costume and asks if they have seen it before. - T gives ss some questions to discuss about the pictures: Look at this guy. Where is he going? (Zoo? Halloween party? Work?) How does he feel? (Happy? Hot? Silly?) Imagine you are his friend walking next to him. How do you feel? - Instructions: -In pairs, discuss your opinions. - T provides content feedback

Test #1 (3-5 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

- T asks ss to match the pictures with the words. - Instructions: -Alone, match the words with the pictures. - In pairs, share your answers. - T monitors and provides help if needed. - T provides ss with key answers for this test.

Teach (6-10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

- T covers the MPF of the words that ss didn’t know only. Meaning: -T uses pictures and asks CCQs if needed, as highlighted in L.A. Pronunciation: -T drills the words individually, in groups, and chorally. Form: -T highlights that all the words are adjectives at the very beginning.

Test #2 (3-5 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

- T asks ss to do the exercise. - Instructions: -Alone, match the correct adjective for each sentence. - T ask monitors and provides help if needed. - T asks ss to check their answers together. - T provides ss with key answers for this test

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

- T asks ss to discuss the questions. - Instructions: -With your partner, answer these questions using the new words. -Make sure to mention why. -In which situations do you share the same feelings as a “communicative goal”. - ICQs: -Are you going to use the new words? Yes. -Are you going to mention why? Yes. - T monitors and takes notes of ss errors. - T provides content and language feedback.
