To provide the clarification of food and drinks words. To teach countable and uncountable food items. To illustrate common food partitives.
Subsidiary Aims

To give the learners a chance to communicate with each other through the class.
Procedure (19-30 minutes)
_ At first, the teacher attempts to engage Ss to the lesson by visual materials and elicits the topic of the lesson. Then, she writes down these questions on the board "According to the pictures, What would you like to eat?", "What is your favorite food?" and "What is your favorite drink?". _ Ss are supposed to answer the questions in pairs. _ Then, there is a whole class feedback.
_The teacher divides Ss into groups and hands out short texts about the meals in Britain. _The students are supposed to read the texts and fill the tables. _ Then, they have to check the answers in pairs. _The teacher checks ICQs and monitors while they are doing the task. _ The teacher writes the answers on the board. _Also, she presents the target verbs: "like" and "dislike" and checks CCQs. _ Finally, they must talk with their classmates and ask him/her if he/she likes food and drinks in the chart. _There is a whole class feedback.
_The teacher sticks the image of countable and uncountable food items on the board or wall. _The learners are supposed to come and see the picture, then the teacher explains the target grammar. _The teachers divides the Ss into teams and covers the image in order to play the game. _The Ss can come and see the picture again in order to memorize the words, then the teacher covers it and they are supposed to write down as many words as they remember. _If they write down more words, they will get the higher score.
_The teacher concentrates on food partitives and shows pictures due to explaining how they can count uncountable nouns. _The teacher gives different examples of measurements such as, a jar of, a bar of, a carton of, a tin of, etc. _Then, students have to do an activity to match the parts and label the pictures. _The teacher clarifies the instructions and checks ICQs. _Ss are supposed to fill the blanks and mach them, then they must switch their answer sheets with their classmates in order to correct each other. _The teacher monitors. _At last, they must check the answers, then the teacher show the correct answers on the board. _There is the peer feedback and the delayed feedback.
