To provide a listening for specific information
Procedure (24-48 minutes)
T welcomes the Ss. T shows some pictures and visuals related to health on the board. Ss look at the pictures on the board.. Ss work in pairs and try to guess the topic of the lesson Ss share their ideas with the WC.
T write some vocabulary related to health on the board. T asks the Ss if they know about the words. Ss may not know the meaning of the words T explains the meaning,form and the pronounciation
T writes 2 sentences on the board T tells the Ss to read the sentences silently and quickly Ss read the sentences T tells the Ss that they will listen to the audio for 2mn then choose the main aim of the listening audio then choose one answer from the sentences on the board T plays a small part of the listening audio for 2 mintues. Ss listen the audio for gist then choose one answer.
T sets the task about the health idioms. Ss will work alone. Ss checks their answers in pairs T monitors the class T gives the Ss the answer key Students check their answers with the one on the answer key.
T instructs the Ss about the next listening activity. T plays the audio Ss work alone . T monitors T plays the audio again if the Ss can't cope with it. Ss checks their answers with thier pairs T provided thsy key answer on the board Ss check their answers with the answers on the board
