Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The context will be provided by the previous lesson The Olympics. Show image of Olympics Logo. Elicit ....Can you tell me, what today's topic is about..........? The students will look at the Pictures of The Olympics logo, Rio and Map of Brazil. Eliciting questions: Can you tell me which city, is it in? Can you tell me which Country is Rio in? Draw the arrows on WB connecting - Olympics in Rio in Brazil Elicit we use in to show us .....? Possible CCQs: Are the Olympics on Rio? No Are the Olympics next to Rio? No Are the Olympics in Rio? Yes Is Rio opposite Brazil? No Is Rio near Brazil? No Is Rio in Brazil? Yes
