Procedure (24-37 minutes)
-T shows a picture of Nelson Mandela on the board. -T asks students to say what do they know about him.
-T gives a hand out and asks students to match the words with definitions. -T puts them in pairs and asks students to check their answers. -T askes some of the students to write the answers on the board.
-T gets students to rad the text in a limited time. ( tow minutes). -T asks ICQs.:do you read quickly?yes/ do you rad everything? no -T asks students what is text about? -Ss give their ideas.
- T gives students handouts and asks them to read the text again carefully and put the sentences in order. -S do the task and check the answers in pairs. -Tchecks the answers with whole class.
-T gives students a handout and asks students to answer the questions. - Ss find the sentences that are talking about university,school,the children,wife,job,book. -T puts students in pair to check their answers. -T checks the answers with whole class.
-T puts students in pairs and asks them CCQS:Are these sentences in the past or present? -T gets students to rewrite the sentences in the present.
-T gives students handouts. -T asks students to complete the form. -T checks the form with whole class.
-T gets students to talk about the Ata Turks' life using vocabulary they have already learnt.
If any,T writes some mistakes on the board and the students elicit the correct form and meaning.
