Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I can speak english but I can't speak spanish. I can't swim but i can play vollyball.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask them what they can or can't do.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will write those sentences on the board.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I can speak English. What is the role of the first word? sub. What about the second book? Verb. What about speak? Main verb. What is the negative form? I can't speak English. What about the question form? Can I speak English? Change the subject from I to you and rewrite this sentence. So can doesn't change. Now change the subject from you to she.
