In this lesson, students will learn how they can write a formal email.

Procedure

Lead in • Engage students and set a purpose for writing

Ask them the question, let them speak Ask them to impagine the situation and give them feedback of what they said Ask them to discuss the difference between formal and informal emails.

Pre-Writing • Provide vocabulary and key languages for students so they can write more easier

Ask them to fill in the gaps with vocabulary they have.

Planing • Organize ideas before writing

Ask them to check the model and see how it works.

Drafting • Produce the first version without focusing on perfection

Ask them to produce the first version without focusing on perfection.

Revising & Editing • Improve content and accuracy before finalising

Ask them to check their text if there's any problem or mistake, correct it. And share it with the class.

Final Writing • Produce a polished text in the target form

Ask them to rewrite the last and final version and then check it again.

Sharing & Feedback • Build confidence and awareness

Ask them to share their final version in pairs, and the partner speak about. Give and take feedback

Follow-Up • Extend learning beyond the classroom

Ask them to write another formal email on a different topic for the next session.
