Description

In this lesson, students are going to learn new vocabularies about places and buildings.

Materials

Abc Pictures, Board, Tablet

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of some vocabularies which are related to the public places and buildings for increasing level of knowledg.e

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide review and practice of improving pronunciation of new vocabularies and using them in context.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First of all, the teacher can show some known pictures which are related to that lesson with tablet, and students can guess them.

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

This part starts with, the teacher explains the practice of the book and tries to do the first question as a sample and uses some photos so students can say places. And students do that practice and peer cheek, then the teacher can correct their answers.

Highlighting (2-3 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

in this part, the teacher can write some important vocabularies on the board, and says their pronunciations and students can repeat them.

Clarification (5-7 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

The teacher uses CCQ for improving the knowledge of students, and writes some sentences with new vocabularies on the board.

Controlled Practice (5-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

At the end of the book, there are some practices such as matching that students do them for learning better, and the teacher check them.

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The teacher groups their students and asks them to answer some questions with new words, so they use their new words in speaking or writing, then share their sentences in the class.
