Listening Art Experience
Intermediate level

Description

In this session, students will ready to listen an audio step by step and relaized their own error corrections and problems while speaking and listening. Students will learn some words that help them to use in daily speaking task. I want my students to learn how they will talk about their own opinion. The audio is more chalenging than before, i chose it to show my students learning different pronounciation is important. They have to work with each other and learn the way of group exercise.

Materials

Abc Whie board and marker
Abc Their own phones with pictures i sent before.

Main Aims

  • To provide gist listening practice using a text about An experience about art in the context of painting
  • To provide detailed information are told by the speaker. I want them to answear the questions carefully.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency and accuracy in both listening and speaking tasks

Procedure

Warm-up/Lead-in (1-0 minutes) • To set lesson context and einterest students

SHOW them the picture and ASK them to describe it one by one. ask them: HAVE YOU EVER MAKE ANY KIND OF ART? IN SCHOOL OR...? let them to answear and react to them. ask again: DO THINK ART IS EFFECTIVE IN OUR LIVES?

Pre-Listening (2 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the context

Give them the practice: matcing wors ask them to do the exercise in pairs DO NOT FORGET ICQ let them check the answears with the class DO NOT FORGET FEEDBACK. give them the text and ask them tell you what the listening is going to be about?

First-Listening (3 minutes) • To see how much the students can understand the gist in the first time of listen.

Play the audio and ask them to listen for the main idea not worry about details, say; you do not have to write something just listen and find the gist. ICQ ask them WHAT WAS THE SPEAKER'S MAIN POINT? why painting is important for the speaker? what do they think?

Second-Listening (5 minutes) • To see how much they can answear the questions, if they are chalenging or not.

Give them the questions and ask them to read them quickly and write some key words and listen carefully again to find the details and ANSWEAR THE QUESTIONS. ICQ In pairs, check their answears together and check with the class: remember: FEEDBACK TEACH THE 3 VOCABULARY THAT ARE IMPORTANT WITH CORRECT PRONOUNCIATION THE MEANING AND A PIC

Post-Listening (2 minutes) • How much they can talk about their own experience of making art or writing and so on...

I want them to change their partners in a group and make a discussion about the topc. If they make an art work or writing or singing and so on. I want them to show how that experience effect their lives. and talk about their partner's experience. DON'TFORGET FEEDBACK AND ICQ.

Feedback (4 minutes) • Work on error correction and their pronounciation, grammar or vocabulary mistakes.

Check their error correction in speaking with the class ask them to write a simple sentence with vocabulries about their friend's experience about the topic and give it to another one to correct the error and finally check with the class. ICQ/FEEDBACK are extremely important.
