To provide detailed listening practice using a text about animals in the context of dangerous ones in North America
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of experiences encountering dangerous animals
Procedure (35-47 minutes)
the students look at the pictures of the five most dangerous land or sea animals in North America. Then they will be asked Which do you think is the most and least dangerous?why?
The students will be informed about the meaning of the following vocabularies used in the text by trying to match the meaning of the words with the vocabularies individually. They will check their answers in pairs and then with the whole class. swim, ocean, surf, ponds,ft as a measure, fractions (a half, a third, a quarter, a fifth)
The students will listen to track and try to fill the animals name in the gaps.
Students will be asked to read the sentences on page 70, part c and then the audio file will be played again. The students need to fill the sentences. They will have 2 minutes to check their answers in pairs then we will check the answers with the whole class.
Students will be asked to talk to each other in groups of 3 and ask Are any of these animals dangerous where you live? Have you ever had a bad experience with any of them?
