Procedure (37-49 minutes)
I will tell them about the things I have on my desk. For example, this is my pen. This is my desk. This is my book, this is not your book.
I'll ask my students to tell me about what they have on their desks.
I'll write those sentences on the board.
I'll start by writing some sentences with (I'm-my, you're-your, he's-his, she's-her, and it's-its). Then I'll tell them that we use a possessive adjective to say something belongs to someone. His of a man. Her of a woman. It for a thing. Their of people of things. possessive adjectives don't change with plural nouns.
I will ask them to do the exercises from page 126 of the book.
I will ask them to tell me about their names, using my and their partners' names using her and tell me about the things on their desks and their partners' desks.
