Main Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation and roleplay in the context of Travel & holidays

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about Travel to different countries in the context of Holiday Competition

Procedure

Lead in (3-5 minutes) • Get them engaging

Show students an example of a computation and ask them for discussing some questions in the beginning

Ptv (5-6 minutes) • To understand as a main text

Teach them the blocking words

Presentation (5-8 minutes) • Provide the main text

Have students look at the holiday options and read the descriptions

Practice (10-15 minutes) • Use the target language

Put students in small groups. Ask them to discuss the different holiday options

Production (5-7 minutes) • Fluency

A role play to ask everyone to choose one country to spend their holiday in and they will give the reasons for the end that and then they are going to present in front of everyone

Content and language feedback (3-5 minutes) • Highlight the the pros and cons

Giving the students is a feedback and if there were any mistakes and to shed the light on the good points
