in this lesson the students are going to listen to an audio talking about dangerous animals in north america.

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about Dangerous animals in the context of land or sea animals in north america.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of students experiences with dangerous animals in their living place

Procedure

pre listening (2-4 minutes) • provide students for text and familiarizing them with keywords.

The students will be informed about the meaning of the words in listening through showing them the picture of the vocabs and they can guess the words. the key words are: deer / attack / surfing / dangerous animals

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students.

The students have to look at the pictures of the five most dangerous land or sea animals in north america. they will asked which do they think is the most and least dangerous?

while listening #1 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information through listening to audio.

The students will listen to audio once for the first time and they have to complete 5th to 1st with the name of land or sea animals then we will check the answers together.

while listening #2 (8-10 minutes) • to provide students with more challenging detailer information through listening

students will be asked to read the statements on page 70 part c then they will listen to audio again carefully. they have to complete the facts about the land or sea animals with one or two words in each blank then we will check the answers together.

post listening (8-10 minutes) • to provide an opportunity to respond the text and speaking about the dangerous animals.

students will answer to these questions and talk about it. The questions are: Are any of these animals dangerous where you live? Have you ever had a bad experience with any of them? they have to talk about it in group of four and then we will talk about it with whole class.
