We are going to cover the Jeans:style & fit Listening and learn some jeans styles.

Main Aims

  • To provide listening practice using a text about Jeans;style & fit in the context of style & fit

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Jeans style in the context of style & fit

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage the students are asked:what styles of jeans do you usually buy? What color? Do you sometimes have problems finding the right ones? discuss about jeans styles

Pre-Reading/Listening (5-7 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students are going to be tought the meaning of the vocabularies : product(n), dissatisfied(adj), order(n).

While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

In this stage the students are going to listen to the audio and answer these two questions: Is too much choice making us unhappy? Does the speaker think the answer is yes or no?

While-Reading/Listening #2 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

In this stage,the students are going to listen to the audio for the second times and answer the questins nember1 to 5. They will be asked to check in pairs.

Post-Reading/Listening (3-4 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The students are asked to discuss the following questions in group work; In your country, is there a lot of choice in the following? Do you think it's a good or bad thing? 1 in supermarkets 2 on tv 3 in clothes store 4 in coffee shops 5 in restaurants
