ın this lesson, students learn about what clauses through guided discovery based on a listening about collectors. The lesson starts with showing pictures of things that people like collecting and then students talk in groups about what else people like collecting. After that they listen an audio of five collector. and they match the names of the speaker with the things they collect. The students are shown what clause sentences from the listening and it's asked if these sentences are questions or not. after finding out the meaning of what clause for three minutes students practice pronunciation by the help of the teacher. For the last time students listen to the audio again and they have a matching activity. Finally they have free speaking activity. ( do you collect anything?)

Stage 1 Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To intruduce students to What clauses and have them practice within the context of collecting

-start with an anectode to angage interest. -tell students about something that you used to collect -then ask to students if they (or someone they know) collect anything -ask them to tell their partner about it, and then collect feedback from a few pairs.

Stage 2 match vocab (8-10 minutes) • To provide new vocabulary that can be applied in the context of collection

-match the words with the picture - pass out HO for students to match vocabulary words with pictures - write the correct answers on the board. -ask students where people keep the things they collect.

stage 3 listening and matching sentences with speaker (8-10 minutes) • To provide listening skills

-Form students into pair - pass out HO to match sentences with speakers

stage 4 (6-8 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' reports

-sellect what clauses from the listening write them on the board. ask students if these are questions or not tell them that they are not questions

stage 5 (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to practice on what clauses

give SS a HO of what clauses. tell them to match the main clause and the what clause meaningfully. after finishing it help them about pronunciation

Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

to clarify the meaning of what clause give some more examples and write on the board. let them find out where and how we use what clauses. help them about the pronunciation

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

write a sentence on the board form students into groups of 3-4 tell them to complete the sentence get the different answers of the students.
